Somerset Lady Trojans Defeat Academy Select
The Somerset Lady Trojans claimed a 4-2 victory over the National Academy Under-17 Select at Bernard Park in Bermuda Football Association Women’s Division action.
The Somerset side scored four times in the first half to establish a decisive lead.
Symira Lowe-Darrell opened the scoring for Somerset in the second minute of play, and teammate Jya Ratteray-Smith doubled the lead with a goal in the fifth minute.
An own goal in the 13th minute extended the Somerset lead to 3-0. Lowe-Darrell scored her second goal of the match in the 23rd minute to conclude the first-half scoring for the Lady Trojans.
The National Academy Under-17 Select scored two goals in the second half. Daley Outerbridge scored the team’s first goal in the 60th minute, and Priya Dill added a second goal in the 80th minute.
