Opposition Leader Ben Smith is encouraging residents to contact their area MPs with suggestions on how the $3 million allocated in the Public Works Budget for special constituency projects should be spent in their communities.

A spokesperson said, “Are you tired of the potholes in your neighbourhood? Is there uncut grass at your child’s favourite playground? Perhaps you need speedbumps installed on your road to prevent reckless driving in your community?

“Opposition Leader Ben Smith is encouraging constituents across the island to reach out to their area MPS and make suggestions for how they think the $3 million which was placed into the Public Works Budget for special constituency projects should be spent.”

Opposition Leader Ben Smith said, “There are many issues which need to be addressed in our communities and this is the perfect opportunity for residents to have their say regarding what’s important to them.

“How often does this happen? I encourage residents to allow their voices to be heard. This is an opportunity that every resident should take advantage of.”

He urges his constituents to contact him: “To the constituents of Smith’s South, please feel free to reach out to me with your suggestions by emailing me at bsmith@oba.bm or call me on 294-3264.

“My colleagues would love to hear from you as well, so please don’t hesitate to reach out to the representative in your area.”
