Volleyball Team Move Into Classification Match
Bermudian beach volleyball players Benjamin Barnett and Braedon Medeiros-Cooke concluded the pool stage of the fourth stop of the 2026 NORCECA Beach Volleyball Tour with a straight-sets loss to Mexico’s Carlos Andrés Ayala Herrera and Inés Antonio Vargas Lares.
The defeat placed the Bermuda duo into the 13th/14th place classification match.
Competing in Group D, Barnett and Medeiros-Cooke lost the opening set 21-5 as the Mexican pairing established an early lead.
The host nation representatives maintained their advantage in the second set, defeating the Bermudian side 21-6 to secure a 2-0 victory in the match.
Barnett and Medeiros-Cooke will conclude their tournament campaign in Tamaulipas in the placement round.
