Football: Cape Verde Defeat Bermuda 3-0
Cape Verde defeated the Bermuda men’s football team 3-0 in an international friendly match today [June 6] in Connecticut, USA.
Bermuda’s starting line-up was Milai Perott, Brighton Morrison, Daniel Cook, Jorj Dublin, Ne-Jai Tucker, Julian Carpenter, Ajani Burchall, Zeiko Lewis, Deniche Hill, Lazai Outerbridge and Xahvi Deroza.
Cape Verde led 1-0 at half-time after Willy Semedo scored in the 33rd minute, Garry Rodrigues doubled the lead in the 49th minute, before Nuno da Costa added a third goal in stoppage time in the 90th+1 minute.
Zeiko Lewis captained the Bermuda team for the match against Cape Verde, who matched up against Bermuda in advance of their appearance at this year’s World Cup.
