Andrew Armstrong Congratulated On Call-Up
Andrew Armstrong has been congratulated on his call-up to the Bermuda national football team for their friendly match against Cape Verde on Saturday [June 6].
Bermuda will face Cape Verde at the Pratt & Whitney Stadium in Hartford, Connecticut.
The striker transferred from the University of Dayton to Marshall University in January.
Marshall University is in Huntington, West Virginia.
Their men’s football team plays in NCAA Division 1.
“Congratulations to Andrew Armstrong for being called up to the Bermuda men’s national team for their upcoming friendly against Cape Verde,” read a Marshall University social media post.
Cape Verde have qualified for the upcoming World Cup in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Armstrong helped the Bermuda under-23 national team win the gold medal at the International Island Games in Orkney, Scotland, last summer.
