Harvey Cooper & Kaleidoscope Art Workshop
The Harvey Cooper Award and Kaleidoscope Arts Foundation are partnering for a hands-on workshop and community celebration designed to make art accessible, spark creativity, and raise awareness of the Harvey Cooper Award competition.
A spokesperson said, “The event invites middle‑school students and older to interpret the prompt “What does this song mean to me?”. Each student selects a song and interprets the lyrics into a visual medium, with the support of Kaleidoscope teachers. Students should arrive with a concept ready to develop; instructors will provide guidance, techniques, and creative mentorship to help each piece come alive.
“Participants will create artwork indoors from 2:00–5:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to a garden reception with light food and refreshments from 5:00–6:00 PM to celebrate the students’ work and meet event organizers.”
