Outerbridge Places 11th At New Balance Nationals
Bermudian sprinter Miles Outerbridge finished 11th overall in the Championship Boys’ 100 metres at the New Balance Nationals Outdoor at Franklin Field in Philadelphia.
Outerbridge, representing Montverde Academy, won his preliminary heat with a time of 10.54 seconds, placing sixth overall and advancing to the semifinals.
In the semifinal round, Outerbridge ran 10.56 seconds to finish 11th overall. He did not advance to the final, with the top two finishers in each semifinal heat and the next two fastest athletes qualifying for the eight-runner final.
