West & Mosquera Win Bermuda Amateur Titles
Eric West and Sienna Mosquera won their respective titles as the Bermuda Amateur Stroke Play Championship concluded at Port Royal Golf Course.
Five division champions were crowned on the final day of competition.
Eric West claimed the Men’s Open Championship Division after carding an even-par 71 in the final round to finish the tournament at even par overall.
West’s round included three birdies, 12 pars and three bogeys. Alec Barker finished second at seven-over-par overall after a final-round 77, while defending champion Jarryd Dillas placed third at eight-over-par following a closing 74.
Sienna Mosquera won the Ladies Open Championship Division at nine-over-par overall after shooting a final-round 83. Her round included nine pars, six bogeys and three double bogeys.
Tracy Burgess finished second at 25-over-par overall after carding an 82 in the final round, while Kim Botelho was third at 35-over-par following a closing 84.
Robert Vallis won the Senior Open Championship Division after posting a two-under-par 69 to finish at one-under-par overall, the only player to complete the tournament under par.
Vallis recorded four birdies, 12 pars and two bogeys. Arthur Jones finished second at 14-over-par after an even-par final round, while Tony Ravenda placed third at 20-over-par overall.
Burgess also won the Senior Ladies Championship Division, finishing at 25-over-par overall. Linda Down was second at 49-over-par after a final-round 91, and Katyna Rabain finished third at 50-over-par.
Jonathan James won the Men’s First Flight Division after shooting a final-round 73 to finish at eight-over-par overall, one stroke ahead of Richard Marriott, who closed with a 76 to finish at nine-over-par. Paul Egan placed third at 10-over-par after a final-round 75.
