Bascome Scores Century In Coventry Victory
Bermudian cricketer Okera Bascome scored 118 to help Coventry & North Warwickshire CC defeat Handsworth CC by six wickets in the Warwickshire County Cricket League Premier Division in England.
Coventry & North Warwickshire won the toss and elected to field. Handsworth scored 206 for seven from their 50 overs, with Bevon Brown making 60.
Taran Toor led the Coventry & North Warwickshire bowling attack, taking three wickets for 50 runs from 12 overs.
Coventry & North Warwickshire reached 207 for four in 34.4 overs in reply. Bascome opened the batting and made 118 from 96 balls, hitting eight fours and six sixes.
Viraj Sorathia added 40, while Noman Ahmed finished unbeaten on 13 and Akshaykumar Patel was not out on 11 as Coventry & North Warwickshire completed the chase with more than 15 overs remaining.
The win earned Coventry & North Warwickshire 20 points, while Handsworth received five points.
