Cosplay Chaos 3 will bring together anime, gaming and pop culture fans at Bermuda College on July 11 for a full day of cosplay, competitions, entertainment and family-friendly activities.

A spokesperson said, “What began as a small student cosplay activity has grown into a full-day community event expected to attract hundreds of anime, gaming and pop culture fans next month.

“Cosplay Chaos 3 will take place on Saturday, July 11, from 11am to 11pm at Bermuda College, bringing together cosplay, gaming tournaments, films, mini games, karaoke, local vendors, artists and family activities.

“The third annual event is organised through BC Village, a Bermuda College student group whose tagline is “Safe Space on Campus”.

“The group provides a welcoming environment for students, allies and community members seeking connection, creativity and belonging.

“Kennita Perry, Counsellor at Bermuda College and Facilitator of BC Village, said the event was created after students shared that there were few spaces in Bermuda where they could openly enjoy anime, gaming and cosplay.”

She said, “Cosplay is all about creativity and self-expression. People create costumes based on their favourite characters or even original ideas.

“While there are limited opportunities to cosplay publicly in Bermuda, we have discovered there is definitely a community here. Whenever events like this are offered, people show up and the response has been overwhelmingly positive.”

The spokesperson said, “This year’s event will include a Cosplay Competition with prizes in Kids, Casual and Expert categories, gaming tournaments, a Vendors Marketplace, an Artist Alley featuring local artists and creators, a Maid Café, karaoke, films and mini games.

“Families can visit the Kids Zone, which will include a skating rink and bouncy castle.

“New additions for 2026 include a Trivia Battle and the Mana Recovery Room, a quiet, sensory-friendly space for anyone who needs a break from the excitement.

“The evening will end with an interactive Fire and Glow finale presented by Inferno. Music throughout the day will be provided by E.T. FLAVA.”

Ms Perry said, “The support has honestly surprised us every year. Our first event welcomed more than 250 people and showed us there was a real appetite for anime and pop culture events in Bermuda.

“This year we expect 350 to 500 visitors. We have students, community members and volunteers working together, and the excitement around the event has been incredible.”

The spokesperson said, “Thanks to support from the Bermuda Community Foundation, proceeds will be reinvested into future BC Village activities that promote safe and welcoming spaces on campus and in the wider community.

“Attendees are encouraged to come in costume, take part in activities or simply enjoy the atmosphere. Food and drink vendors interested in taking part may contact Kennita Perry at kperry@college.bm. Tickets are available at www.ptix.bm or on the door.
