Lady Stars, Lady Zebras, Somerset & RenRe Win
Lady Stars, PHC Lady Zebras, Somerset and RenRe and Friends recorded victories as the Netball Bermuda Summer League resumed at Bernard Park with Women’s League and Co-ed Division matches.
Lady Stars defeated BDA College 24-16. Marissa Brangman scored 21 goals for Lady Stars, with Kim Thompson adding three. Chelsea Almeida scored 13 goals for BDA College and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player [MVP]. Kaylee Lema earned Lady Stars’ MVP and Best Attacker awards.
PHC Lady Zebras defeated Phoenix Blaze 22-6. Sonja Townsend and Niasiah Berkeley scored nine goals each for the Zebras, while Debre Evans was named MVP. A’meerah Richardson Swan scored five of Phoenix Blaze’s six goals. Inshan-Nae Smith led the PHC defensive effort.
Somerset defeated the Atlantic Aces 27-17. Kammie Mills scored 18 goals and was named Somerset’s MVP and Best Attacker. Sinae Symonds scored 14 goals for the Atlantic Aces and received the team’s MVP award.
RenRe and Friends defeated Baileys Bay Breezers 17-15. Coriah Simmons scored 13 goals for RenRe and Friends, while Brighton Swan was named the team’s MVP. Jordyn Morris scored eight goals for Baileys Bay Breezers and earned the team’s MVP award.
