Pacers Advance At 2026 Youth Championships

Athletes from the Bermuda Pacers Track Club advanced to multiple final events at the 2026 International Youth Championships on Saturday before severe thunderstorms forced an abrupt suspension of the competition.

In the boys’ division, Kaden Davis advanced in the Under-8 100-meter preliminaries, qualifying third overall with a time of 14.58 seconds. In the 9-10 division, Elliott Davidge placed ninth overall in the 400-meter event in 1:08.78, missing qualification for the finals.

In the girls’ division, Bermuda Pacers athletes completed their preliminary heats.

Gabrielle Saunders advanced in two events, placing eighth in the 200-meter preliminaries in 27.59 seconds and 12th in the 100-meter preliminaries in 13.61 seconds.

Novi Butler and Giselle Reid-Rubaine advanced in the 100-meter heats, finishing 10th in 14.67 seconds and 11th in 14.74 seconds, respectively.

Reid-Rubaine also advanced in the 200-meter event, placing 19th in 31.62 seconds. Teammate Sazise Lobese completed the 200-meter heats in 32.74 seconds and the 100-meter heats in 15.85 seconds, missing advancement.
