Soca Kings Win Tier 2 Ball Hockey Title
The Sunken Harbor Soca Kings captured the inaugural Bermuda Tier 2 National Ball Hockey League title after defeating the Mid-Atlantic Snipers 6-5 in sudden-death overtime in the championship final at the PCC Hockey Rink.
The Soca Kings led 5-1 after Robbie Bailey recorded a hat-trick and Matt McPhail scored twice, before the Snipers fought back to level the match with ten seconds remaining.
Tom Duggan scored the championship-winning goal at 6:56 of the first overtime period to secure the title for the Soca Kings.
The Soca Kings will now represent Bermuda at the 2026 NBHL Championships, which are scheduled to take place from September 18 to 20 in Blackwood, New Jersey.
