Triathlon: BTA’s Tri A Tri Series Results
The Bermuda Triathlon Association’s Tri A Tri Series returned to Clearwater Beach, featuring multiple formats and distances designed to develop local multisport athletes.
In the primary event, which consisted of a 200-meter swim, 8-kilometer bike ride, and 2-kilometer run, Bermudian competitor Ian Henderson secured the overall victory with a time of 26 minutes, 36 seconds.
Philip Woolins finished second overall in 27:42, while Elena Mora won the women’s division with a time of 32:10. Other local finishers in the distance included Seamus Durkin in 32:33, Paul Tohill in 33:44, and Judith Howe Tucker in 39:05.
In the 200-meter swim, 8-kilometer bike, and 1-kilometer run category, Shane Mora completed the course in 35:20.
Julia Hawley led the swim-to-bike specialist division in 21:23, followed by Emma Palmer in 24:14.
In the 100-meter swim, 5.3-kilometer bike, and 1-kilometer run division, Pippa Henderson finished in 22:28.
The junior divisions featured a 100-meter swim, 2.7-kilometer bike, and 500-meter run, where Elijah Todd took first place in 15:45. Emily Fitzsimmons recorded a [DNF] after a fall during the run segment. In the bike-and-run duathlon format, James Fitzsimmons finished with a time of 13:59.
