Kovin Moodley Praised For Coaching Role
Kovin Moodley has been praised for his “dedication, passion, and commitment” after leaving his position as head coach of the Bermuda women’s national field hockey team.
Moodley joined Bermuda’s national programme in February 2022 after previously working as an FIH Level 2 coach and technical director for SportWays in the Netherlands.
He led both the men’s and women’s teams at the 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games in San Salvador, El Salvador, and subsequently guided the women’s team at the 2024 Women’s Pan American Challenge on home soil and this year’s CAC Games in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
“Four years filled with unforgettable memories, valuable lessons, challenges, growth, and so many special moments,” the programme said.
“Your dedication, passion, and commitment have left a lasting impact, and we’re truly grateful for everything you’ve given to Bermuda hockey.
“Wishing you all the best as you begin your next chapter. You’ll always be part of the national team family.
“Thank you, coach, and see you later!”
Moodley’s women’s team finished eighth at this year’s CAC Games, matching their position at the previous tournament.
He also played football for Inter BDA in the Corona League.
