Rain Halts Eastern Counties Cricket Cup
Bailey’s Bay match against Flatts Victoria in the second round of the Eastern Counties Cup at Lord’s was rained out yesterday [August 15].
Holders Bay, who have retained the trophy, posted 227 for nine off 54 overs.
Derrick Brangman and Mike Agard both scored 47 runs.
Brangman faced 65 balls, hitting four boundaries and two sixes, while Agard faced 49 balls and hit six fours.
Sinclair Smith added 36.
Seam bowler Kamau Leverock was the pick of the Flatts bowlers with four for 81.
Kevin Hurdle and Jan-Johan Nel both claimed two wickets.
In reply, challengers Flatts reached 74 for two before the rain halted their run chase with the gane ending in a draw.
Opener Logan Jones was unbeaten on 34 not.
