PLP To Host Deputy Leadership Discussion
Zane DeSilva, Lawrence Scott, Tinée Furbert and Michael Weeks are scheduled to take part in a PLP “Deputy Leadership Open Discussion” on Monday.
This is according to a flyer that has been posted by by some of the candidates which says the event, which is open to PLP members only, will be held on Monday evening [Aug 17] at CedarBridge Academy.
In addition to the candidates for Deputy Leader, there are two candidates for PLP Leader with both Curtis Dickinson and Jason Hayward standing for the position.
The PLP’s next leadership election is scheduled for October, when members will elect both a Leader and Deputy Leader. Since the party currently forms the Government, the Leader also becomes Premier.
