Student Trailblazer Out Front Award Recipients
The Ministry announced the names of the Student Trailblazer Out Front Award recipients, with Sioma Tashani Rudo, Emma Oury, Sam Mello, Ruth Bella Correia, Kenya Robinson, Callahj Simons, Nyla Wellman, Chloe Burns, Zach McGuire, Dylan Jeffrey, and Khamil Burchall all receiving awards.
A Government spokesperson said, “This week, the Ministry of Youth, Social Development and Seniors will celebrate Bermuda’s graduating students who have shown achievement, perseverance, service, creativity, leadership, and strong character. The Youth Trailblazers Out Front–2026 award winners will be recognized on Wednesday, 5 August, at 7 p.m. on the main stage at Harbour Nights on Front Street.
“The initiative began in May and was open to all 2026 graduating students in Bermuda to apply, including final-year middle school [M3], senior high school [S4], and students in private or specialized programs.
“Students, schools, sports clubs, community and youth groups, churches, and non-profit organizations were invited to nominate students. Categories included Academic Achievement, Leadership and Service, Community Impact, Sports Achievement, Arts and Culture, and STEM and Innovation.”
Minister Tinee Furbert said, “When we take the time to recognize our young people, we do more than applaud their achievements; we fuel their confidence, affirm their potential, and inspire others to rise. Beyond the accolades, these awards are about the heart of our youth. Celebrating our youth is an investment in the future, and a joyful reminder that greatness is already growing among us every single day.”

Highly Commended [Honourable Mention] – $250

“In addition to awards, and as further recognition of their achievement, the Ministry arranged for a flag banner bearing the student’s photo to be installed on Front Street. The public is invited to join the celebration of the students tomorrow at Harbour Night.”
