Volleyball Teams Win Both Matches At ECVA
Bermuda’s men’s and women’s national volleyball teams both recorded victories on the second day of the 2026 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association [ECVA] Championships in the British Virgin Islands.
The men’s team claimed a 3-1 victory over the British Virgin Islands, winning 18-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-20. After dropping the opening set 25-18, Bermuda levelled the match by taking the second set 25-21 before winning the next two sets 25-17 and 25-20 to secure their first victory of the tournament.
Bermuda’s women continued their unbeaten start with a 3-0 victory over Dominica, winning 25-22, 25-22, 31-29.
The first two sets both ended 25-22 before the third extended beyond the regulation 25-point mark, with Bermuda eventually prevailing 31-29 to complete the straight-sets victory. The result followed Bermuda’s opening-day 3-2 win over Saint Lucia, giving the women two victories from their first two matches.
Both Bermuda teams are scheduled to face Anguilla today [Aug 14].
