Bermudian Trio In College Football Action
Bermudian footballers La Zai Outerbridge, Khari Sharrieff and Danni Watson featured for their college teams in recent matches in the United States.
Outerbridge started in midfield and recorded one shot as Hobart College defeated SUNY Brockport 2-1 on Tuesday [September 15], extending their winning start to six matches.
Sharrieff started and played 77 minutes as Howard University beat Radford 1-0 on Saturday [September 12]. Daniil Kaban’s second-half penalty secured Howard’s first victory of the season and their first win over Radford.
Watson played the full 90 minutes for West Virginia State University in their 2-2 draw away to Charleston on Sunday [September 13]. Cali Questel opened the scoring before Charleston went ahead, with Sara París Fílter’s second-half equaliser earning West Virginia State a point.
