Bermuda HealthCare Services [BHCS] is inviting the public to a Community Open House on Saturday [Sept 26], from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 19 The Lane, Paget, providing an opportunity to see its new Siemens MAGNETOM Flow.Neo MRI up close and learn how the technology is designed to enhance the MRI experience for patients in Bermuda.

A spokesperson added, “Visitors will be able to see the new MRI system and speak with members of the BHCS team about the technology, how MRI examinations work and what patients can expect when undergoing a scan.

“The 1.5 Tesla Siemens MAGNETOM Flow.Neo combines advanced imaging technology, artificial intelligence and patient-focused design. Its features include a wider 70-centimetre opening designed to provide a more comfortable experience, together with Siemens Deep Resolve artificial intelligence technology to support faster image acquisition and high-quality diagnostic imaging.

“The system also incorporates Siemens DryCool technology, requiring only a small amount of liquid helium over the lifetime of the magnet, while its design supports improved energy efficiency.

“BHCS Founder and Executive Chairman Dr. Ewart Brown said the Open House gives the community an opportunity to see the new technology firsthand and learn more about its benefits for patients.”

“We want the community to have an opportunity to see this technology up close, ask questions and better understand what it means for patients. Our investment in the MAGNETOM Flow.Neo reflects our continued commitment to providing Bermuda with access to advanced diagnostic imaging technology and high-quality patient care.”

A spokesperson added, “BHCS Multi-Modality Technologists will be available throughout the afternoon to answer questions and explain the MRI process and the system’s patient-focused features. MRI images obtained at BHCS are interpreted by physicians at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center.

“For safety reasons, visitors will not be permitted to enter the MRI scan room. They will be able to view the MRI and learn about its features from the BHCS team during their visit.

“Light refreshments will be available.”
