BPS: Officer Is Not Linked To Court Matter
The police issued a clarification after rumours circulated alleging that a serving officer was linked to a drug importation trial, confirming that the officer was not connected to the matter.
Commissioner of Police Darrin Simons said, “The Bermuda Police Service is aware of rumors alleging that a serving police officer is linked to a recent drug importation trial.
“While an individual named during the proceedings shares the same name as our officer, the BPS confirms they are two distinct individuals. The serving officer is not the person mentioned in court and was in no way linked to the court matter.
