Defending Dudley Eve Trophy champions St. George’s Colts opened their title defense with a 1-0 loss to the Dandy Town Hornets, while the North Village Rams secured a 5-1 victory over the Somerset Trojans in local football action.

Dandy Town held St. George’s scoreless through a tight first half before breaking the deadlock early in the second period, as David Jones Jr. scored in the 52nd minute to give the Hornets the victory.
North Village Rams 5 Somerset Trojans 1
North Village built a 3-0 lead within the first 18 minutes. Jaizel Smith-Deshields scored in the ninth minute, Knory Scott doubled the lead six minutes later, and Amir Dill added a third in the 18th minute.
Luciano Swan scored for Somerset in the 27th minute, but Jalen Harvey restored North Village’s three-goal cushion just before halftime to make it 4-1, and Che’Kai Caisey scored for the Rams in the 47th minute to extend the lead to 5-1.
