Two People Injured In Collision In Pembroke

[Updated] A two-vehicle collision involving two motorcycles occurred in Pembroke.

A police spokesperson said, “There has been a serious road traffic collision involving two motorcycles at the junction of Bishop Spencer and Palmetto roads, Pembroke.

“It is understood that one of the bike riders has been transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital, for what is said to be a serious but head injury.

“The roadway is currently blocked with eastbound traffic being diverted along St. Monica’s Road and west bound traffic is being diverted onto Roberts Avenue.

“Motorists are advised to approach these diversion points with caution and follow the instructions of officers at those locations.”

Update Sept 15, 10.30am: A police spokesperson said, “Shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Monday, September 14, 2026, Police attended a traffic collision involving two motorcycles at the junction of Bishop Spencer Road and Palmetto Road, Pembroke.

“It appears a 33-year-old female motorcycle rider was traveling west along Palmetto Road, when she attempted to negotiate a left hand turn onto Bishop Spencer Road. As she did so, a 42-year-old male motorcyclist, also traveling west on Palmetto Road, collided with her.

“The male motorcyclist suffered a serious but non-life threatening head injury. The female bike rider sustained a back injury, the extent of which was unknown.

“They were both transported by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

“The bike ridden by the male was unlicensed and uninsured.

“The collision resulted in the roadway being closed for approximately three hours while the scene of the incident was forensically processed.

“An investigation into this incident is now being carried out and anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or has information that could progress the investigation, is asked to contact Constable Khamp Edwards, by calling the Hamilton Police Station at 247-1704 or, via e-mail, kedwards@bps.bm.”

Update Sept 17, 12.00pm: A police spokesperson said, “Both motorcyclists hurt in this collision were treated at King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for their injuries and later discharged. Inquiries are ongoing and any additional witnesses are still encouraged to call Constable Khamp Edwards at the Hamilton Police Station on 247-1704, or e-mail kedwards@bps.bm.”
