Bermudian motorcycle racer Aeziah Divine has reflected on a series of steady improvement after completing his second campaign in the R&G Moto4 British Cup.

Divine brought the curtain down on his impressive season at Donington Park in Leicestershire, England, at the weekend, finishing a superb fifth in the opening race on Saturday before finishing twelfth twice yesterday [October 4].

The 16-year-old, who represents Fibre Tec Honda-MLav Racing, finished thirteenthth overall in the standings with 70 points, seven places higher than his debut campaign last year.

His best finish of the season was fourth in the third race of the season at Oulton Park in Cheshire in May.

“I was super-excited to finish fifth [at Donington],” Divine told Bernews.

“It’s been a productive final weekend of the season. It’s been one of my best weekends. I’m super happy.”

The series is a British junior championship designed as a pathway for teenage riders towards the MotoGP system.

It runs as part of the British Superbike Championship [BSB] programme.

Assessing his second season at this level, Divine, who represented Microlise Cresswell Racing, a British development team, last season, said: “It’s been a good season overall.

“I’m happy with how things have gone. I feel as though I’ve been improving bit by bit.”

Divine is sponsored by Mailboxes, BEST Shipping, Custom Mechanics Ltd, Blyth Automotive Solutions, Aries Sports Centre, Bermuda Custom Mechanical, Knox, Red Laser Limited, Ashanti Leadership, Butterfield & Vallis, DRC Race Leathers UK, Triangle Swizzle UK and JP Enterprises.
