Video: Jediah Cumbermack Proud Of Season
Bermudian motorcycle racer Jediah Cumbermack says he is proud of his performances after securing two top-10 finishes in the final round of the 1P Mobile National Junior Sportbike Championship at Donington Park in Leicestershire.
Cumbermack finished ninth in the opening race on Saturday [October 3] before placing tenth on Sunday despite riding with a forearm injury.
He briefly led the race and ran second for much of the contest before dropping down the order late on.
Cumbermack finished fourteenh in the overall standings despite competing in only eight of the 16 races in the series.
The championship runs within the British Superbike Championship [BSB] paddock and is aimed at young riders developing their careers.
“I’m proud of myself because many can’t do what I’m doing,” Cumbermack told Bernews.
“It’s a very expensive sport and you need to work hard to be where I’m at, which is not the highest level, but still requires a lot of work.”
Cumbermack, who represents British development team ROKiT Rookies, said coming from Bermuda makes his achievements on the international stage even more special.

“I’ve been through a lot and come from a small island like Bermuda,” said Cumbermack, who rides Kawasaki Ninja ZX-4RR.
“I come out here and race at these major tracks like I’ve been on them for years.
“I’m pleased with how I’m doing and hope I can keep improving.
“It would be great to inspire more young Bermudians to come and ride and grow the sport on the island.”
Cumbermack previously competed in the MotoAmerica Junior Cup for Texas-based A.I.R Onze Moto Racing and has also raced in the Chuckwalla Motorcycle Racing Association series in Desert Centre, California, and the North American Talent Cup.
He is sponsored by Bison Rokit Rookies, Aries Sport Centre, the Finn Wardman Scholarship, Bermuda Motorcycle Racing Association and Rokit Off.
