BOTA Celebrate World Occupational Therapy Day
The Bermuda Occupational Therapy Association [BOTA] is celebrating World Occupational Therapy Day 2026 under the theme “Participation Matters,” encouraging wellness through meaningful daily activities while highlighting opportunities for aspiring occupational therapists.
A spokesperson said, “Today, Occupational Therapists worldwide come together to celebrate World Occupational Therapy Day. The official theme for World Occupational Therapy Day 2026 is ‘Participation Matters’. Participation Matters highlights the role of everyday activities, roles and routines in supporting health, wellbeing and quality of life. Occupational therapy advances participation by addressing physical, cognitive, emotional, environmental and social factors that influence engagement in occupations that people want, need, or are expected to do.
“In celebration, the Bermuda Occupational Therapy Association [BOTA] encourages everyone to engage in activities that recharge you and prioritize your personal wellness.
“Here are some suggestions to help you incorporate participation into your daily life:
- Reflect on “What Helps You Participate?”
- Consider the importance of “Ergonomics & Micro-Breaks.”
- Showcase an activity or hobby that brings you joy and meaning.
