Court: Curtis Richardson Found Guilty
Following a trial in the Supreme Court, a jury has found Curtis Richardson guilty of causing the death of footballer Marco Warren.
The case concerned a fatal collision that occurred during the early hours of the morning in May 2023 which took place on North Shore Road, just west of Trinity Church Road in Hamilton Parish.
During the proceedings, the court heard that Mr Warren was walking when he was struck by a taxi, and Mr Richardson, a former PLP Senator, was identified in the evidence presented to the court as the driver of the vehicle.
Justice Alan Richards presided over the Supreme Court trial and Mr Richardson has been remanded into custody pending sentencing.
Marco Warren was a highly talented footballer who played for PHC Zebras and earning the top-flight’s Most Valuable Player award multiple times at the Bermuda Football Association Awards Ceremony, and also represented Bermuda internationally.
