“Known for his passion for youth mentorship and volunteerism, Inspector Trott had a remarkable ability to connect with young people, particularly young men who might not ordinarily engage with police.

“During a recent Commissioner’s briefing, senior leadership reflected on his many achievements and contributions to the Service.

“It was noted that whenever Inspector Trott visited a school, he had a unique ability to capture the attention and earn the respect of young men who would otherwise be reluctant to listen to what police officers had to say. His genuine approach and commitment to guiding young people left a lasting impression.

“Inspector Trott was equally admired for his dedication to his colleagues. As Chairman of the Bermuda Police Association, he demonstrated a strong passion for supporting and advocating on behalf of fellow officers, earning their respect through his commitment, drive and willingness to stand up for others.
