In the video below Michael Brand from Collegelax.us interviews Bermuda Lacrosse Head Coach Steve Colfer at the 2010 World Championships in Manchester England. Mr. Colfer, a US college coach, became involved with the Bermuda team in a consulting role before becoming club’s head coach in January 2009.
The 2010 FIL World Championships are taking place in Manchester, England, and run through to July 24. The Bermuda squad is one of approximately 30 teams to qualify for a shot at the world title. The Bermuda Men’s National Team is one of four teams in the Yellow Division, joining Denmark, Finland and Poland. Bermuda is making its second consecutive appearance at the FIL World Championships in 2010. The Bermuda National Team debuted at the world tournament in 2006. The team claimed their first ever lacrosse victory at World Championship level, beating Denmark 11-8 on July 18th.
