Cruise Ships Diverting, JetBlue Extra Flights
While cruise ships are making plans to avoid Bermuda, JetBlue Airways has added an extra flight between New York/BDA and another between Boston/BDA tomorrow [Sept 16].
Citing plans to close Bermuda’s ports over the weekend as Hurricane Igor approaches, Royal Caribbean today announced the Enchantment of the Seas’ voyage to Bermuda scheduled to begin on Saturday will be rerouted to the Bahamas.
Also confirming today they will divert from Bermuda is MSC Cruises, which says the MSC Poesia, currently sailing across the Atlantic to New York from Europe, will head to Boston instead of Bermuda.
Royal Caribbean says officials in Bermuda have decided to close our ports beginning on tomorrow through Tuesday as a precaution as the storm churns towards us.
