Argus Announces Three New Appointments

The Argus Group today [Mar.10] announces three new appointments to its senior management team. Peter Crayford joins Argus as Assistant Vice President, Property & Casualty, Lisa Jackson takes on the role of Assistant Vice President, Pension Client Relations and Anthony Donaghy has been appointed Internal Audit Manager, Group Risk and Compliance.

Peter Crayford, Assistant Vice President, Property & Casualty

In the position of Assistant Vice President, Property & Casualty, Mr. Crayford will be responsible for providing leadership in underwriting, claims and business development, with a particular responsibility for commercial business lines at Argus. Reporting to the Vice President, Property & Casualty, he is also tasked with assisting in the development of new high-quality and robust products and services.

Mr. Crayford has ten years of strategic operational and personnel management experience and joins Argus from BF&M in Bermuda, where he held the position of Business Underwriter. Before relocating to Bermuda in 2007, Mr. Crayford was employed in the U.K. in various management and broking roles including an eight year period with Willis Group. Mr. Crayford completed his Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute (ACII) qualification in 1999, is a Chartered Insurer and a Faculty of Underwriters Member.

Lisa Jackson, Assistant Vice President, Pension Client Relations

In the role of Assistant Vice President, Pension Client Relations, Ms. Jackson will lead a team of pension administrators to ensure the delivery of market leading client services by Argus, with a focus on client communications, satisfaction and retention. She will be responsible for building strong relationships with clients through a deep understanding of their challenges and emerging needs and will evaluate and, where appropriate, re-engineer products, operating models and processes to meet these requirements. Ms. Jackson will report to the Executive Vice President, Life & Pensions.

Ms. Jackson joins Argus from Freisenbruch-Meyer Insurance Services in Bermuda, where she was employed as Manager, Group Employee Benefits. She has also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Maximum Pensions Services Ltd. and Manager, Pension Administration at HSBC Bank Bermuda Limited. Ms. Jackson earned a Master of Arts degree, with a concentration in finance and management, from Webster University, formerly based at the U.S. Naval Base in Bermuda.

Anthony Donaghy, Internal Audit Manager, Group Risk and Compliance

In his new role, Mr. Donaghy will be responsible for overseeing the internal audit function for the Argus Group, providing independent assurance that the major risks affecting the company are being managed appropriately. He will plan and perform risk and system-based internal audits of the business areas and implement the appropriate policies and guidelines to underpin operations.

Mr. Donaghy previously held the position of Assistant Financial Controller at BF&M in Bermuda. Prior to this he worked at the CL Financial Group in Trinidad and Tobago as Audit Manager, Corporate Oversight Team/Internal Audit and CLICO, CL Financial Group’s leading subsidiary, as an Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer. Mr. Donaghy is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS).

These latest senior management appointments at Argus follow those announced in October 2010, of: Gary Hitchens, Director of Global Sales & Marketing, Onesimus Nzabalinda, Head of Compliance & Risk Management, and George N.H. Jones, Group Company Secretary & Legal Advisor. ar
