August 31, 2011

The Bermuda National Football Squad participated in a 60 minute practice match in preparation for their games in Trinidad and Guyana.

The match took place yesterday [Aug.30] against the Ft. Lauderdale Strikers on their practice field. Bermuda took the lead after about 25 minutes when Reggie Lambe scored. The 16-man Bermuda squad did concede in the 53rd minute to make the score 1-1.

The BFA said, “The Bermuda team’s standouts were Nahki Wells and Taurean Manders who did look sharp and made good decisions with and without the ball in possession.”

“The coaches achieved their objective in furthering the team’s match fitness and the remaining members of the 21 man squad will arrive prior to the opening World Cup qualifying game in Trinidad; again, this match is set to kick-off at 16 00 hours Friday, September 2 in Trinidad.”
