September 8, 2011

Lorenzo Tucker is currently taking part in the WICB Fast Bowling workshop in Barbados. The seminar is run by Biomechanist Dr Paul Hurrion, West Indies Head Coach Ottis Gibson and Sagicor HPC Bowling Coach and West Indies U19 Head Coach, Roddy Estwick. The two-day workshop addresses Biomechanical Principles, Assessing Actions, Video Analysis, Understanding Swing and Fitness for Bowling.

National Coach David Moore stated, “I am very pleased that Lorenzo Tucker has accepted the opportunity to attend the Fast Bowling Coaches Workshop at the Sagicor High Performance Center in Barbados. Lorenzo’s experience is ideally suited to undertaking this seminar and disseminating the information throughout the coaching community of Bermuda.”

“He has the technical and biomechanical understanding of fast bowling as well as the high level technology skills to be able to analyse a fast bowler’s performance and communicate feedback to each player. I look forward to working closely with him on his return to video and analyse our young fast bowlers and to develop programs that will enhance their performance.”

President, Reginald Pearman stated, “The BCB prioritizes the education and development of our coaches and we are confident that Lorenzo will be able to assist upskill other local coaches locally in addition to putting his new knowledge to good use.”

You know what lorenzo will do a great job and I wish him all the best My Question to the present or new BCB is why has very little of this been done with our players this year and If it has been why have we not workes all summer with our bowlers. As much as we all are waiting the reports on the past performance of the BCB and what are your future plans the game needs some serious help from some serious cricket lovers.

Try attending the many training academies that are run for the development of players. Bda High School is were it happens and Berkeley.
As to the serious cricket lovers, they don’t put the time in to assist, just sit on the side lines and offer remarks.
