Man Charged In $3 Million Drug Case

September 28, 2011

Facing charges said to involve a total of over $3 million worth of illegal drugs, 39-year-old Kenneth Jamal Zuill of Happy Valley Road, Devonshire, was released this morning [Sept.28] on $50,000 bail with two like sureties.

Mr Zuill faced three charges, all drug-related, one of which was indictable which means that it can only be dealt with in Supreme Court. Mr Zuill elected to have the other two charges, to which he pleaded not guilty, dealt with in Magistrates.Court.

The indictable charge alleged that between a date unknown and October 2010, Mr Zuill, Michelle Gibbons, Mary Johnson and others not presently before the Courts had conspired to import over $3 million worth of marijuana said to weigh approximately 150lbs.

The other two charges were that on Happy Valley Road in Devonshire, on 19th September 2011, Mr Zuill had in his possession 1,121 gms of marijuana valued at $56,050 and a separate charge of having 496.5gms of cocaine valued at $119,375. For both counts, the charge was that Mr Zuill had these amounts with intent to supply.

The Court learned that Police had searched Mr Zuill’s residence at #58 Happy valley Road and had found more drugs and drug handling equipment there. Magistrate Archie Warner set a trial date of 14th December 2011 on these two charges.

Along with the $50,000 bail and two sureties, the Magistrate also ordered that Mr Zuill surrender all of his travel documents and report to the Hamilton Police Station, between 8:00am and 8:00pm every day.

you get at least 20grand a pound–selling it in 50′s and 100′s… that calculation is about right.

      • Can't Take It Anymore says:

True, but if its muggy poof, you will get no where near that amount of cash. Besides, over 150 lbs being sold in 50′s and 100′s is a bit much. All of it would have went in pounds and qtr pounds, with the occasional quarter and ounce. Anything smaller would take to long adn result in the stuff going off.
