Photos: Santa Visits St. George’s

December 6, 2011

Santa Claus came to the Old Town at the weekend.

Large crowds gathered in Town Square on Saturday [Dec.3] to catch a glimpse of the big man in red as he made his highly anticipated arrival in the East End.

Spectators arrived early for the St. George’s Santa Claus Parade, with youngsters anxiously craning their necks to spot the special visitor from the North Pole  before he rode into the square aboard a fire truck.

Some spectators were quietly rocking around the Christmas tree, dancing along to performances from acts including DJ Gerard Regis, PCC Majorettes, PHC Majorettes, Split Personality, Warwick United Signature Majorettes, Krazed Ego, St. George’s Original Dancerettes, Exquisite Styles, Diverse Conception, No Limits Dance Crew, Bermuda Squad and Graffity Dance Crew.

St. George’s Mayor Kenneth Bascome was on hand to greet Santa Claus who handed out gift bags to the hundreds of children in attendance.
