‘The Holiday’s’ Bermuda Holiday
Fans of TV’s “Jersey Shore” will soon get the opportunity to go on a Bermuda holiday with “The Holiday” when cast member Deena Nicole Cortese [pictured] hosts a cruise to Bermuda.
Reality TV show personality Ms Cortese will host a round trip from Cape Liberty to New York to Bermuda on Royal Caribbean’s “Explorer of the Seas” from September 16-23, 2012.
The website for the event promises a non-stop party with Ms Cortese and DJ Nicky Sibilia. Cabin prices range from $1200 to $2975.
Nicknamed “The Holiday”, 25-year-old former waitress Ms Cortese has been a cast member of the MTV show — which follows the lives of eight New Jersey housemates — since last year. She was originally offered a role on the inaugural season of the programme but turned it down due to family porblems.
Dubbed a cultural phenomenon by critics, academics and social commentators, the series — which premiered in 2009 — has garnered record ratings for MTV, making it the network’s most viewed series telecast ever.
“While we’re in Bermuda, enjoy a private Rum Party Cruise with Deena and join her in one of the island’s fun clubs,” said a spokesman for the cruise. “In addition, you can sample typical island food and stroll through the shops and museums of the Royal Naval Dockyard.
“Sail the clear waters of the Great Sound. Find quaint gems at the Bermuda Arts Centre and Craft Market. Or have a close encounter with dolphins at Dolphin Quest.”
