Video: Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Flotilla

A Flotilla of vessels made their way from Hamilton Harbour to the West End yesterday afternoon [June 2] to start Bermuda’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Governor George Fergusson, Acting Premier Michael Scott and other dignitaries boarded a ferry at Albouy’s Point, while dozens of boats followed behind the ferry, many flying Union Jack flags.     Why wasn’t the lead boat dressed up ? Especially considering it was carrying the Governor I would have expected a lot more than just the regular Marine and Ports flag.

    For years they seemed to find time to decorate a boat and participate in the Christmas Boat Parade. (Something that we taxpayers no doubt paid for)
    But the J C Smith shold have outdone all of them .
