Video: Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Flotilla
A Flotilla of vessels made their way from Hamilton Harbour to the West End yesterday afternoon [June 2] to start Bermuda’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations. Governor George Fergusson, Acting Premier Michael Scott and other dignitaries boarded a ferry at Albouy’s Point, while dozens of boats followed behind the ferry, many flying Union Jack flags. View a photo gallery of the boats here, and a video below.
Nothing like the money on the water like you see for the end to end comet race inna!
Why wasn’t the lead boat dressed up ? Especially considering it was carrying the Governor I would have expected a lot more than just the regular Marine and Ports flag.
For years they seemed to find time to decorate a boat and participate in the Christmas Boat Parade. (Something that we taxpayers no doubt paid for)
But the J C Smith shold have outdone all of them .
