  2. Um jus sayin.... says:

Congrats to Mr Todd…however, Mr Boyles was the BEST man for the job…skills, knowledge, passion, dedication, and genuine interest for the well-being of the kids…insurmountable! This is a part-time post correct…because there’s usually a period of time before one can replace the position when one makes someone redundant…jus sayin!

We should all be trying to move forward but there is a whole lot of ignorance here:

      - people aren’t made redundant posts/roles/positions are.
      - redundancy isn’t the same as replacement.
      - when a particular role is made redundant there is no “wait period” because there would have been an intensive consultation beforehand with the new role clearly defined as distinct from the existing one.
      - every effort is made to find existing employees alternative roles, which they are free to accept or not.

For added measure the record will reflect that prior to his appointment, Mr Boyles had neither: coached youth football; worked at a national level; or run a program of any kind. All of which was painfully apparent.

Can we go back to moving forward please….

      Frank

This was taken from another media outlet. Which is a quote from the BFA.

“Earlier this year we had some workforce adjustments within the BFA and we’ve taken one of the portfolios from the previous director of player development and created a role of the National Academy director.”

Which means the National Academy was obviously only one aspect of Devarr’s job. So no issues about assigning parts of a posts/roles/positions made redundant to a new post.

Sign of the times. Less money so adjustments have to be made. Unfortunate but true.
