Premier Paula Cox will serve as Co Chair of the C3 Summit to be held on September 13/14 in New York City, with guest speakers at the event set to include former U.S. President Bill Clinton and Apple CEO Tim Cook.

President Clinton will serve the keynote speaker for the C3 Summit 2012: The 21st Century Business Challenges in U.S.-Arab Opportunities.

Ransel Potter, the Managing Director and Co-Founder of C3 International, said his mission and that of the C3 Summit, is to examine the business challenges and opportunities presented by the Middle East region as a whole and to ensure that both U.S. and Arab businesses grow and prosper by providing access to business opportunities.

The speakers will draw upon their unique insight into doing business with the Middle East and offering practical advice on how others can succeed in growing their own business in the fast emerging Middle East markets.

Premier Cox said she welcomed the opportunity to join with the C3 Summit organizers in increasing commercial ties between Bermuda, the U.S. and the Arab world. She noted that the C3 Summit comes at a time of great change in the Middle East which will affect the ways in which the West will do business with these fast emerging and critical markets.

“The C3 conference is dedicated to examining these changes and suggesting ways that we and our Middle East colleagues can profit from change. We invite all those who do business in the Middle East to join President Clinton and ourselves us at this timely event,” she said.

  1. Pitts Bay says:

While every bit helps, I think there is a big difference between Paula Cox and Bill Clinton speaking at the event; The former may have paid to speak, the later would have been paid to speak.

    • brain dead says:

@PITTS BAY, you must NOT be proud of be a Bermudian with a statement as “While every bit helps, I think there is a big difference between Paula Cox and Bill Clinton speaking at the event; The former may have paid to speak, the later would have been paid to speak”

I would pay to buy you a brain and country loyality. Sir John Plowman did say you people over in that area didn’t have a clue about the real Bermuda. You have proven him right from the grave.

  2. GVT Mechanic says:

Yep Pitts Bay – and who is paying Mr Clinton? Bernews – ask the question??

    • Chart says:

We are. Paula is coChair because Bermuda has sponsored this event.
I have some degree of skepticism of its value.

  3. Joonya says:

Impressive Coxy, but wow, the Government of Bermuda, right there on top of the Sponsors list.. What a way to hang us out there Paula. I hope you’re not gambling.. Oh and BTW, this sounds more like an Arab-USA initiative. Are you lobbying to make us #53 or something..?

  4. Chart says:

    Bucket list!

Bill gets about 125,000 bigs ones for this little talk we are paying for.
That would have supported meals on wheels for a whole year!!!
    Cogwash….

  6. Making sense... says:

with any luck, Bill can school Paula on how to leave office with the country having a surplus instead of a deficit….

  7. Robin Hamill says:

Premier Cox has many more pressing matters to attend to here at home. This is not a good, even moderate, use of her time. How much did Bermuda spend to sponsor this boondoggle?

  8. Opressed says:

    While Rome burns.

  9. tomB says:

this woman is so disgusted with her mess she has made in bermuda that she can’t stand being here..Nothing for her to do…she already destroyed the entire island along with her accomplice brown..when will they all go away!!!!!!!!!! instead they are still eating at our bones!!!..
