Slideshow: Surfers At Horseshoe Bay Beach

Surfers are taking advantage of the pre-storm weather today [Sept 4], making their way to Horseshoe Bay Beach in Southampton. The Bermuda Weather Service said that Tropical Storm Leslie is currently to our south-southeast and is forecast to arrive this weekend. Leslie is expected to intensify to a Category II hurricane as it approaches to about 60nm to our south by Saturday evening.

      Used to dream of these conditions, you never hear of surfers in trouble just the large American tourist on a calm day in a rip. get a life real talk let them enjoy the waves.

    Well, I still have the surfboard but I need to find a way to shave off a few decades & some pounds to use it. Used to surf Hungry Bay, The Reef, Dunkleys, Windsor Beach & one memorable day INSIDE Castle Island. We were a dedicated few back then. Nice to see that the sport is still alive & well.
