Police: Sudden Death Of 36-Year-Old Man

On Friday evening [Oct 5] police attended a Southampton residence where a 36 year old man was found in an unresponsive state. He was subsequently pronounced dead, and police said while there does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances an autopsy is anticipated.

A police spokesperson said, “Around 6pm on Friday, October 5th police and first responders attended a reported medical emergency at a Homestead Lane, Southampton residence. A 36 year old Southampton man was found in an unresponsive state at that location.

“CPR was performed at the scene and continued as the victim was taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance; however he was subsequently pronounced dead. No further information regarding the deceased will be given at this time.

“There does not appear to be any suspicious circumstances; however an autopsy is anticipated in due course.”
