Football: Dudley Eve Semi-Finals Results

The North Village Rams and Somerset Trojans have advanced to the Dudley Eve Finals following today’s Semi-Finals at the St David’s Cricket Club.

Dandy Town Hornets 0 – North Village Rams 1 – After Extra Time

It took 118 minute before a goal was scored in this encounter, with a Keishen Bean strike earned the North Village Rams a place in the Dudley Eve Final.

Both team created several chances, with both goalkeepers Dwayne Adams for the North Village Rams and Daniel Johnson for the Dandy Town Hornets forced to make several saves to keep the game locked at 0 – 0.

North Village Rams substitute Corey Boyce came closest to breaking the deadlock two minutes into the first period of extra time but his right footed shot from inside the six yard box sailed over the crossbar.

St. George’s Colts 0 – Somerset Trojans 3

The Somerset Trojans advanced to the Dudley Eve Finals with a 3 – 0 win over the St. George’s Colts. After watching St. George’s Colts striker Jahron Dickinson put a shot from close range over the crossbar in the fifth minute, the Somerset Trojans went ahead from the resulting goal kick as Dion Stovell got on the end of a long ball forward to beat the St. George’s Colts goalkeeper Zeiko Burgess to his right.

Jonathan Bean doubled the Somerset Trojans lead in the 19th minute and then Ijahmon Mallory scored from the penalty spot in the 90th minute for the Somerset Trojans to advance to the finals.
