Women’s National Coach: Naquita Robinson

The Bermuda Football Association announced the appointment of Mrs. Naquita Robinson to the post of Senior Women’s National Coach. Mrs. Robinson has years of experience within the women’s game having played locally with Devonshire Recreation Club and North Village Community Club.

She attended Messiah College and Kean University where she excelled as a player. More recently she has made an impact as Women’s coach at the 2012 League Champion North Village Lady Rams. Mrs. Robinson is a Physical Education and Health teacher at TN Tatem Middle School.

Mrs. Robinson has been working with the National Academy since October and has already begun assessment of locally based players for the U20 and Senior Women’s National teams. 2013 will be a busy year for the National Program. Bermuda will host of the Clyde Best Festival and the 2013 Island games.

The Ladies will take particular focus as 2013 is a World Cup qualifying year for women. Open trials for the U20s and senior women’s teams are currently being held on Tuesday evenings from 6:30 PM – 8:00 PM.
