Bermuda Win Barbados Cricket Tour Opener
Janeiro Tucker lead the way with 157 not out as the Bermuda National Cricket team won their opening game today [Feb 16] in their training tour in Barbados.
The Bermuda team selected for the game included Rodney Trott – Captain, Janeiro Tucker Vice Captain, Jason Anderson, Jekon Edness, Treadwell Gibbons, Dennico Hollis, Jacobi Robinson, Dion Stovell, Kamau Leverock, Tre Manders and Greg Maybury. Sammy Robinson and Delray Rawlins are the reserves.
Sagicor University West Indies innings came to a close scoring 247/8, when the innings closed, Shane Moseley was the top scorer with 122, Jacobi Robinson was the pick of the Bermuda bowlers with figures of 8-1-36-2, while captain Rodney Trott bowled 10-0-43-2 and Kamau Leverock bowled 8-0-47-2.
In reply Bermuda scored 250/6 after 48.2 overs, with Vice Captain Janeiro Tucker the top scorer with a knock of 157 not out. Tucker hit 15 fours and 8 sixes in his 110 balls in 140 minutes at the wicket. Jason Anderson added 21, while captain Trott scored 17, Tre Manders added 16 and Leverock scored 14.
