IWC Art Exhibition To Benefit Local Charities

Members of the International Women’s Club [IWC] of Bermuda will be exhibiting artwork for purchase with the proceeds being donated to two local children’s charities. The exhibition will be showcasing a variety of mediums featuring painting and photography. The artists’ experiences in Bermuda are the source of their inspiration for their creations.

An opening reception will mark the beginning of the exhibition and will be held in the ACE Gallery on Friday, March 8th from 5:00 pm to 8 pm. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be served during the event which is open to the public.

40 works of art have been donated by IWC members and will be available for purchase with the proceeds going to Tomorrow’s Voices and The Coalition for the Protection of Children. All works are available for purchases during the reception by cash or cheque. To purchase works after the reception, please contact philathropy@IWCBermuda.com or treasurer@IWCBermuda.com.

The ACE Group has generously donated its gallery for the exhibition and is a sponsor of the opening reception. The ACE Gallery, located in the ACE Building, 17 Woodbourne Avenue, Hamilton, is open to the public on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11am – 2pm or by appointment for groups. Groups should call in advance to book an appointment on 295 5200. The exhibition will run until March 22, 2013.

The event will be held in March to coincide with Women’s History Month which highlights the contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society. The IWC is a registered Bermudian charity with over 200 members. Among the primary goals of the organization is the commitment to provide charitable services to the community.
