    I recall the former administration telling us there were no small cruise ships to be had. Well, I was in Hamilton this morning when the Hamburg was docking. What a great sight! Perfect for St. George’s!!

    • Portia says:

      Yes, it’s a shame that St. Geo’s and Hamilton are missing out on this type of business. Looking at the cruise schedule for 2013, there is not a single cruise visit in Hamilton or St. George’s in the months of June, July and August – they’re missing virtually the whole season! This is the Hamburg’s sole stop in BDA for the year – imagine if we got them to come weekly, it would be great for the city. We should be courting the smaller cruises like these as well as the bigger ships. Hint, hint to the Tourism Minister.

    In these pictures Roman’s A. Yacht looked a lot bigger!

  3. Pastor Syl says:

    Saw a bus on North Shore full of tourists! What a beautiful sight! Hoping they enjoy their stay, get excellent smiling service where-ever they go on island, and tell all their friends!

  4. Catch 22 says:

    Can someone please explain how the cruise arrivals drop from 180 in 2011 – 127 in 2013. Difference of 53 arrivals – DOES PLP WISH TO ANSWER?

    All i’m saying is YEA!!! So happy PLP is out of office :-}

  6. swing voter says:

    no small ships availible huh? I’m regretting my past choice in parlimentary representation every time there’s good economic news ;-)

  7. BermudaSon says:

    The Hamburg brings back memories of a freighter by the same name which visited the island in the 60′s …. Does anyone remember that?

  8. SoMuchMore says:

    i visited the area late in the afternoon… great little ship and i spotted a few kids sailing too. i hope they enjoyed their day and we welcomed them with open arms.

  9. Concerned Citizen says:

    You blind and stupid OBA supporters really think the OBA brought this ship to Bermuda? Really? And you have the nerve to call PLP supporters ignorant! Lol
