Video: Gombeys In The Bermuda Day Parade

May 25, 2013

There were some 50 plus entrants in the 2013 Bermuda Day Parade with majorettes, dance groups, floats and of course one of Bermuda’s preeminent traditions was on full display, with half a dozen Gombey troupes among the participants.

According to the parade schedule, the Gombeys troupes scheduled to take part included Warwick, Places, Genuine, H&H, Gombey Warriors and the Warner troupe.

Always one of the most popular parts of the parade, the crowds lining the route enthusiastically greeted the Gombeys as they made their way from Bernard Park to City Hall Car Park via Dutton Avenue, Front Street and Queen Street.

We will have substantially more video footage to come of the Parade, and in the meantime a quick clip of the Gombeys is below and all our coverage of the Bermuda Day Holiday is here.
