Collision: Two People Injured, Driver Arrested
[Updated - The driver was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving.]
At around 4.00pm today [June 1], emergency services responded to the North Street and Tills Hill junction area, by TCD, to a collision involving a car colliding with a wall.
Fire service personnel extracted a female from the vehicle, and she was then transported via ambulance to King Edward Memorial Hospital for treatment to her injuries.
A male could also be seen being tended to at the scene, with it appearing he sustained some form of injury to his leg. Details on the incident are limited at this time, however we will update as able.
Update June 3, 1.21pm: The police said the driver — a 56 year old Pembroke man — was arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. Both he, and the passenger, are recovering on a general ward at KEMH.

Around 3:40pm Saturday, June 1st police and first responders attended a reported single vehicle collision on North Street in Pembroke near the junction with Court Street, in the vicinity of TCD.
It appears that a car was being driven through the area when it collided with a wall. The driver, a 56 year old Pembroke man as well as the front seat passenger, a 35 year old St. George’s woman, were injured and taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital via ambulance for treatment.
At last check both were recovering on a general ward. There were no other injuries reported. The driver was subsequently arrested on suspicion of impaired driving. The car received extensive front end damage. Inquiries into this collision are ongoing.

Idiots who think it is cute to accuse drunk dring and jumping walls….maybe those are your experiences!! Mmnm…. Let us see the real out come…. May have been a blown tire or brake failure…. Nowhere in the article is it stated that the female was the driver, just that the woman was “extricated from the car”.
