Photo Set #3: Island Games Opening Ceremony
Marking the first time the NatWest Island Games has been held outside of Europe, over 1,000 athletes from 22 different islands around the world made their way to Bermuda for this year’s Island Games, which officially got underway last night [July 13] with the Opening Ceremony.

Athletes from Aland, Alderney, Cayman, Falklands, Faroe Islands, Froya, Gibraltar, Gotland, Greenland, Guernsey, Hitra, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Jersey, Menorca, Orkney, Saaremaa, Shetland, St Helena, Western Isles and Ynys Mon all entered the stadium, with the host Bermuda following tradition of coming in last.

It is unfortunate the MPs (OBA and PLP) are out for the opening of the NatWest Island Games but were not there for the senior tea last week Sunday. Without the seniors we would not be where we are today.
